Bio

My first camera was a 35mm Pentax SLR I’d bought from a second hand shop in Newcastle. It was about as basic as they came, but I loved everything about it. I put hundreds of rolls of film through it, learning as much about photography as I did about myself through the process. I think that is the beauty of photography: at it’s core there’s an amalgamation of art, science and philosophy.

With my photography I try to invoke a curiosity. I think a good image should make a viewer stop and look, without them really knowing why.

For twenty years I’ve continued to grow, with each shoot understanding just a little more about people and image-making: it’s a track I’ll never see the end of, but one I’m enjoying walking along.
